Mea Culpa!

I know. I know. I've abandoned you for 2 days. I am so sorry! Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans. (Thank you, John Lennon.) Soooo, I will hit you with some serious beauty knowledge today to make up for it. Bonus beauty tips!!!

How many of you are signed up at cosmetic company websites? As in, to get their e-mails/newsletters/etc? Yeah, you're going to want to do that. Why? Because otherwise, how will you know when they are having a giant sale or a gift with purchase or a special opportunity to buy something that the general public doesn't get yet? I can't even begin to tell you how many deals I have scored by ordering through an e-mail I received through a company's website! A few that I really like: http://www.clinique.com/, http://www.stila.com/, http://www.urbandecay.com/, http://www.eyeslipsface.com/, http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/, http://www.tartecosmetics.com/

So, the look this fall is very polished. And by polished, I mean lady like. Intentional. One look that I really like is is kind of a bold lip. Yet, oddly enough, it's also really natural looking. Kind of like you just ate a popsicle and your lips are stained. You can get this look one of 2 ways. You can either buy a deep berry or red lipstick and instead of just putting it on, you smudge it on with your finger, blot, and then do it again. Or, you can buy a lip stain. Maybelline makes one that looks like a marker that you can buy in drugstores. Benefit makes their famous "Benetint" and "Posie Tint" lip and cheek stains. The beauty of these is that either one will last most if all all of your day! Less touchups! YAY!!

And last, but certainly not least, I know bunches of you are Project Runway fans. Why do you like it? The creativity? The amazing designers? The crazy catfights? Well, if you have a designer that you really like, try to think about why. And then, when you go out shopping for you, look for things that remind you of that designer. This is a great way to give your wardrobe a little oomph and style.
