For those of you who prefer an all-in-one

This handy keychain from Clinique includes 2 lipglosses and a lipstick in perfectly neutral pinks suitable for any skin type. (The Superbalm is Too's personal favorite!) Now, when you grab your keys in the morning, you'll have 3 lip color options at your fingertips. Voila! No leaving the house and going "Crap! I left my lip stuff at home!"

You can get this key chain at Macy's during the month of October. And how handy- proceeds benefit breast cancer awareness.

A couple more super deals for you

Right now on http://www.ulta.com/, if you buy any 2 of their sun care or bath and body products, you get a free giant beach tote for free! The kicker? You can also use the $3.50 off a purchase of $10 as well. So, you're going to get a free tote, 3 free samples, and $3.50 off the total purchase. WHAT??? You know you need some more sunscreen- you should always have some stashed here and there. I, myself, purchased some of the dry touch oil free face sunscreen and some of the SPF 70 spray sunscreen.

http://www.clinique.com/ is also doing something special this weekend. If you enter the code "SUMMER" at checkout, you'll not only get free shipping on any order, you'll also get a deluxe sized sample of both lipstick and their famous "Take The Day Off" makeup remover. Want a product recommendation? Clinique's Up-lighting Liquid Illuminator. This stuff can be used EVERYWHERE. I mix it with my foundation or tinted moisturizer. I rub it in along my collarbone and shoulders. I mix it with my body lotion. And a little bit goes a loooong way. This stuff lasts and just adds the right amount of glow to anyone. Beautiful!

Get your block on!

May is officially skin cancer awareness month. Don't know if y'all knew that! The great thing is that right now, there are all sorts of skin care sample bags and free goodies when you want to get some new products this year. Here are some of the coolest that I've seen:

1. Sephora has a Sun Safety Kit for $25 that has 13 sun protectant products in it. (The picture is at the top of this blog.) Everything from sunscreens to lip balms to eye creams to really cool bands to wear in the sun that tell you when to re-apply your sunscreen! And all the money from these sets is going to the Skin Cancer Foundation! Love that!!!

2. Korres is offering a "Summer in Greece" kit for $20 on sephora.com that includes an all natural sunscreen along with a watermelon body scrub and an yogurt cooling gel. I love Korres's stuff because it's all natural and smells AMAZING.

3. Want to splurge a little? Shiseido's "Fun in the Sun" Kit is $69 and includes some SERIOUS sun protection for those who need a little more help. Sun protection cream for face and eyes, blotting papers, UV cards to remind you when to re-apply. It's tres chic, no?

4. If you purchase any 2 of Clinique's sun protection or self-tanning products on their website, enter the code "TOWEL" at checkout and you'll get this super cute beach towel with a bright citrus-y pattern on it. I do love a free gift!

Ask and ye shall receive

So, one of my international readers (yeah, I have international readers. I'm kind of a big deal) requested that I talk about undereye concealers. Sound familiar? Need some help in this arena, too? Well, here's what Too suggests!

First and foremost, let's make sure you are taking care of the delicate skin around the eye area. Please tell me you are moisturizing. At least at night, if not in the morning as well. If the skin around your eyes is dry and flaky, your concealer is going to look AWFUL. So, don't even bother to buy concealer if you're not going to take care of that skin. (Puts soapbox away now.)

If your problem is dark circles:

This is the most common reason to use concealer. Those lovely shadows that make you look exhausted and/or like someone just punched you in the face. Neither of which is exactly a photo friendly state of being. What you're going to want is a moderate to full coverage with maybe a hint of illumination to help mask the darkness. The illumination will help bounce the light off the area and make the circles less noticeable. You might like-

Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer: This stuff comes in a ton of shades and is extremely light while providing SERIOUS coverage at the same time. It's kind of a miracle in a jar.

Smashbox High Definition Concealer: This stuff is made for HD cameras, so you know it's not joking around.

Almay Bright Eyes: This stuff is cool because it also doubles as an eyeshadow base. Definitely brightens the eye area.

Neutrogena Skin Soothing Under Eye Corrector: Mmm! Tiny light refractors in this stuff?? Talk about a neat trick to help you look awake and aware.

Cle de Peau Beaute or YSL Touche Eclat: If you suddenly won the lottery and were wondering what completely frivolous makeup you should buy, these would be the concealers. Every makeup artist in the industry RAVES about both of these. They are so creamy and moisturizing and yet cover like NOTHING else and do not move at all. They apparently also completely blend into your skin absolutely seamlessly!

If your problem is puffiness:

Concealer can also be your friend for this condition. It is important to make sure that you buy something that has ingredients that are soothing and de-puffing so that it can work on your eyes during the day. You might like:

Neutrogena 3-in-1 Concealer: This has aloe and green tea in it to work on those puffs while you wear it! It also has an SPF of 20 which is just an added bonus.

Jane Iredale Active Light Concealer: Contains loads of natural and botanical ingredients, including buckwheat wax which is supposed to reduce puffiness!

Tarte The Eraser Concealer: So many amazing, soothing, anti-inflammatory stuff in this one! This concealer is for my "green" girls.

Cover Girl and Olay Simply Ageless Concealer: This concealer works great for people with undereye puffs because it almost "floats" on top of the skin. Instead of settling into the lines around the puffs, this will remain on top and create the illusion of smoother undereyes.

Now, let's be honest. There are some of you who are like "Yeah, I just want something that's kind of an all-in-one. What can I just slap on?" Alright, I hear you. Here's what you need- Clinique's All About Eyes Concealer. The idea behind this stuff is that they mixed their best selling eye cream with a concealer!! WHAT?? That's just crazy talk!! It's oil free. It covers dark circles. It moisturizes. It disguises the puffs. And, it also won't settle into any fine lines. So there you go. There's your cheat version. You slackers. :)

Let me just say what I have said for years and would fly behind a plane if I could: EVERY WOMAN NEEDS CONCEALER. Whether they are a super model or a super mom. Find one that works for you and you'll be amazed at how much better you look!!!

Ahhhh, Saturday.

First and foremost, a big congrats to the winner of the spring lip kit, Cristin K! Cristin, send me your address to toobeautylicious@yahoo.com so I can pop it in the mail for you.

Secondly, your tip for the day- if you are someone who absolutely HATES clumps in your mascara or you are perfectly happy with the width of your lashes and just want some length. Then, you need to look for a mascara that has a comb for application instead of a brush! Why? Well, the comb actually pulls the mascara through the lashes as opposed to a brush which deposits the mascara onto lashes. So, you're going to get a very natural look as opposed to a thicker/more artificial look.

Some mascaras that have combs:
Clinique's High Lengths Mascara
Clinique High Definition Lashes
Bare Escentuals Big Tease Mascara
Lorac Visual Effects
Lancome Fatale Exceptional Volume

Another Friday is here!

So let's see what kinds of things I could drop on you for the weekend...

New York Fashion Week is currently going on and I don't know if I'm the only person who gets a little nerdy about it or not. Wait, apparently makeup companies do, too. They've started branding their looks for each designer. And the good news is that you can buy the looks! For example, Stila is doing the runway looks for several designers. The products they used in the BCBG MaxAzria show can now be purchased as a set for much cheaper than you could buy them a la carte: www.stilacosmetics.com.

Tarte Cosmetics has a really cool promo. If you go to their website and enter to win a 3 piece eye collection, Tarte will donate $1 to the Red Cross for the relief efforts in Haiti. Just go to www.tartecosmetics.com and go to the icon at the bottom of the homepage to enter.

Free shipping on clinique.com with the code "WEEKEND". No minimum purchase required

And if you are currently living somewhere that is going to be cold and wet and/or snowy this weekend., please remember to take care of your skin. Rich creams for elbows, knees, and heels. Balm for your lips. And don't forget to keep drinking plenty of non-caffeinated beverages for hydration! Hot tea is always a great choice!!
